Common Core Update   Leave a comment

I heard today on NPR and read in the Auburn/Opelika News that the State Board will meet Thursday to vote on a repeal of the Common Core Standards.  I wanted to make each of you aware of what was currently happening in the state as a part of EACTM.

If you would like to contact the board member that resides over your district, you can find that information here:  http://www.alsde.edu/html/boe1.asp

EACTM is a partner of ACTM and NCTM.  NCTM president had this to say on November 1, 2011 regarding retraction of the standards: http://www.nctm.org/about/content.aspx?id=31431 .
